Qard al-Hasan is a UK-registered charity providing interest-free micro-loans to individuals experiencing genuine financial hardship.

Rooted in the Islamic principle of Qard al-Hasan: Lending without interest as an act of social responsibility, the foundation exists to offer fast, dignified and practical support to people facing short-term financial pressure.

Our model is deliberately simple and accessible. Borrowers apply through a fully digital platform, complete a clear two-page agreement, and, once approved, receive funds within 24 hours. Loans are designed to support everyday needs without creating long-term debt or dependency.

From inception, the foundation has been built with strong governance and transparency, securing both FCA exemption and Charity Commission registration to ensure trust, accountability and responsible stewardship of funds.

Qard al-Hasan is funded entirely through donations and operates on the belief that ethical finance can be both efficient and compassionate.

We actively welcome donors and partners who share a commitment to ethical lending, social responsibility and community support and who believe that access to interest-free financial help can make a meaningful difference at critical moments.
