Abdul Basit has over 17 years of experience in process and plant operations within the oil and petrochemical industries. Currently employed at QatarEnergy since December 2012, Abdul Basit oversees the Naphtha Hydrotreating (NHT), Platforming (PLAT), and Continuous Catalyst Regeneration (CCR) Units, focusing on meeting production targets and ensuring the safe operation of process units. Prior experience includes a role as a Technologist at Pak-Arab Refinery Ltd. from 2008 to 2012, where similar responsibilities were held, and earlier work at Super Chemical Pvt Ltd. during the commissioning phase of the FA-UFC Unit from 2006 to 2008. Abdul Basit holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Government College of Technology Karachi and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Technology from Indus Institute of Higher Education.
