Gemma Achu

Gemma Achu is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Chartering and Head of Freight at QatarEnergy since December 2022. Previously, Gemma held the position of Sr. Sales Operations Officer LNG at the same company. Prior experience includes roles as an LNG Operator at Centrica Energy Trading, Deputy Manager Commercial at MARCURA®, Trading Operator at Cheniere Energy, and LNG Shipping Operator at Total Gas & Power Ltd. Gemma began a career in vessel operations at Navigator Gas and Sasol, focusing on shipping logistics and vessel management. Early career experience includes an internship at Clarksons and a marketing communications project at Plessey Semiconductors. Gemma holds a Master of Science in International Procurement & Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Maritime Business and Maritime Law from the University of Plymouth, along with A-Levels from Tavistock College.
