Nicholas Evans

Nicholas Evans has a wealth of experience in the technology and software industry. Starting in 2009, they worked as an Operations & Strategy at Medic Mobile (formerly FrontlineSMS:Medic). In 2010, they were a Design Researcher at IA Collaborative and an Advisory Board Member at the Segal Design Institute at Northwestern University. In 2011, they were a Research Associate at gravitytank. In 2012, they started their own company, dsgn_co, to help startups create meaningful experiences. In 2013, they were Product (acquired by Etsy) at Reverb, where they were the fifth employee and eventually became the #3 leader in commits to the core repo. In 2019, they joined Etsy as Senior Product Manager/Group Product Manager, Reverb and was instrumental in maturing the approach to experimentation. In 2021, they became Partner at Southport Ventures, where they invest in mission-critical software businesses and accelerates their growth, and Partner at Southport Technology Group, where they work with clients to identify revenue-driving products, opportunities for automation, and ways to streamline operations. Finally, in 2022, they became the CEO of QBench.

Nicholas Evans attended Northwestern University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Science and a second major in Economics. Nicholas then returned to Northwestern University from 2009 to 2010 to earn a Master's degree in Design & Innovation.
