Ricky Y.

Ricky Y. has a diverse work experience. In 2021, Ricky is currently the Chief Operating Officer at qBraid, a Machine Learning Intern at 2m Foundation, and a Quantum Stream Bootcamp Participant at Creative Destruction Lab. In 2020, Ricky was an ML Intern at Audioshake, where they developed, implemented, debugged and tested a stem path tagger using CNNs to identify instrument samples, preprocessed datasets, and created a model which classified music stems of six categories at overall validation accuracy of 98%. Additionally, Ricky was an Undergraduate Researcher and Researcher at Stanford University, where they created machine learning models to analyze the best structure to reduce thermal noise for LIGO mirror coatings, built a modularized python package to analyze MD molecular simulations of Titania doped Tantala/Germania, conducted interviews of people ages 18-22 investigating across cultural and generational differences in multiple countries, presented findings to senior level executives of 7-Eleven and Korea’s 8th largest conglomerate GS Holdings, and spearheaded the Japan team translating, debriefing and organizing materials. In 2018, Ricky was a Barista at COHO and an Intern at 株式会社ポンチェリーク, where they designed UI/UX for the most visited metasearch app in Japan LINEtravelJP. In 2015, Ricky was an Intern at Kai Wah Plaza International Hotel.

Ricky Y. attended Japanese School from 2003 to 2010. Ricky then attended Troy High School from 2013 to 2017 and graduated with a High School degree. In 2014, they attended Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration for Hospitality Administration/Management. From 2017 to 2021, they attended Stanford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics.
