Beerend Ceulemans

Beerend Ceulemans holds extensive experience in research and development as a Software Engineer, currently employed at Qcify since January 2022. Prior roles include R&D Software Engineer positions at Viloc N.V. from March 2021 to January 2022 and Macq from April 2018 to March 2021. Beerend began a career in academia as a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from September 2013 to April 2018, having also worked as a Programmer at the same institution in 2011-2012, focusing on C++ programming for computer vision applications. Academically, Beerend earned a PhD in Engineering Sciences from both Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Université libre de Bruxelles between 2013 and 2018, complemented by a Master’s degree in Applied Sciences and Engineering: Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Information Technology Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Education commenced with high school studies in Latin-Mathematics at K.A. Pitzemburg Mechelen from 2002 to 2008.
