Patrick Halstead

Founder and CEO at Qdabra Software

Patrick Halstead began their work experience as a software engineer intern at Teradyne in 1991. Patrick then worked as a software engineer at Sumitomo Electric SVO from 1991 to 1992. In 1992, they joined Microsoft as a software developer, where they worked on Windows NT 3.1, focusing on Unicode-enabled user and shell applications and adding usability features. After leaving Microsoft, they joined Office InfoPath as a software developer in 2000. In 2003, Halstead founded Qdabra Software, a micro ISV company aimed at helping businesses streamline business processing using electronic forms. Patrick initially bootstrapped the company as a software services consultancy, with Microsoft as its primary customer. At Qdabra, they created software accelerators and tools to fill gaps in the SharePoint platform.

Patrick Halstead attended Snohomish High School from 1983 to 1985. Following their high school graduation, they joined Harvey Mudd College from 1985 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
