Fabrizio Schmidt

Fabrizio Schmidt has been in the software engineering industry since 2006. Fabrizio began their career as a Software Developer at Inside Intermedia, followed by a Software Developer role at MAGIX AG in 2007. In 2008, they joined VZnet Netzwerke Ltd. as a Technical Team Lead and Senior Software Developer. In 2011, they moved to ResearchGate as an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Architect and remained there until 2017. In 2018, they became the Director of Engineering at Crate.io, where they built and led the customer solutions department from 3-4 people to a completely operational unit. In 2021, they joined New Relic, Inc. as a Senior Director of Software Engineering and is currently the Director of Engineering at Qdrant.

Fabrizio Schmidt attended the FernUniversität in Hagen from 2008 to 2010, studying Computer Science. From 2006 to 2007, they studied Computer Science at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, they attended the Akademie für Kommunikation from 2005 to 2007.
