Wirda Mohd Ali

Wirda Mohd Ali has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Wirda is currently the Head of Marketing (QVI) at Qi Group, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this role, Wirda worked at Astro, where they served as the Assistant Vice President of Group Marketing for Astro Fibre & Astro Biz from 2020 to 2023. Wirda also held the position of Assistant Vice President of Group Marketing for On Demand & International Content at Astro from 2020 to 2022.

Before their time at Astro, Wirda worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment as an Assistant Manager in Brand Partnership from 2018 to 2020. Wirda also served as the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications at Picksum from 2017 to 2018.

Wirda has extensive experience in the marketing and communications field. Wirda worked as the Senior Manager of the Brand Management Group at Volunteer Malaysia from 2013 to 2018, overseeing the development of impactful marketing materials and implementing creative campaigns. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Executive of Public and Media Relations at Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd from 2012 to 2013.

Their earlier career includes roles such as Manager of Public Relations at Asia e University from 2011 to 2012 and Senior Executive of 8TV Brand Management Group at Metropolitan Sdn Bhd from 2005 to 2011. Wirda also contributed to the organizing committee for Malaysian Idol as the Event Coordinator at Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik in 2004.

Wirda started their career as an intern at EMI Music Malaysia in 2002, where they worked in the International Music Department (Promotions & Marketing).

Throughout their career, Wirda has demonstrated expertise in developing marketing strategies, managing brand partnerships, conducting market research, and coordinating media and PR activities.

Wirda Mohd Ali earned a Bachelor of Mass Communication with Honours (Public Relations) degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2004. Prior to their bachelor's degree, they completed a Diploma in Communications and Media from the same university in 2002. Wirda Mohd Ali also graduated from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Convent Kajang in 1998 with a focus on Arts Stream (English Literature, Economics & Accounts) for their PMR & SPM degrees. Wirda has also obtained various certifications, including Leadership Training for Managers, Microsoft Powerpoint & Microsoft Excel for Apple Mac, 3 Day MBA Women in Management, and participated in a PR Seminar in 2003.
