Alison B.

Alison B. is a System Engineer currently working at QinetiQ since September 2017, where responsibilities include providing technical and holistic Systems Engineering support to key programmes in various defence domains. Alison began as a Graduate Systems Engineer through a rotational programme, gaining diverse experience across multiple projects such as Weapons Integration and Maritime Autonomous Platform Exploitation. Prior to QinetiQ, Alison served as a Midshipman in the Royal Navy from September 2011 to June 2017, supported by the Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme, which focused on leadership development. Alison also worked as a Research Assistant at Rolls-Royce, specializing in Nickel-based superalloy sample preparation and analysis. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from the University of Birmingham and attendance at Welbeck, the Defence Sixth Form College.
