Andrew Atkinson

Andrew Atkinson, CEng MIET, currently serves as the Group Aviation Assurance Lead at QinetiQ, where responsibilities include ensuring the safety, legality, and proper execution of global aviation activities in accordance with relevant legislation and corporate governance. With extensive experience in various roles at QinetiQ since 2004, including Design Assurance Manager and Technical Assurance, Andrew has developed a strong technical capability in aircraft design certification and quality assurance under military and civilian regulations. Prior to QinetiQ, Andrew held positions at Training Associates and Serco, focusing on apprenticeship management and account development, respectively. Andrew's educational background includes a BA(Hons) in Business Management from Hampshire Business School and a foundation degree in Aerospace Engineering from Farnborough College of Technology.
