Daniel Terry

Senior Optical Scientist at QinetiQ

Daniel Terry is an experienced optical scientist currently serving as a Senior Optical Scientist at QinetiQ since January 2020. Prior to this role, Daniel held the position of Optical Scientist and completed a PhD at the National Graphene Institute in Manchester, where research focused on van der Waals heterostructures from September 2015 to December 2019. Additionally, Daniel worked as a Laboratory Demonstrator at The University of Manchester, teaching over ten PhD students about cleanroom techniques. Early career experience includes a summer internship at Nanoco Technologies Ltd, contributing to the fabrication and characterization of photovoltaic devices, and an administrative assistant role at Quest Healthcare. Daniel holds both a PhD and an MPhys (Hons) in Physics from The University of Manchester.
