James Mardon is an accomplished aerospace professional with extensive experience in airworthiness and military aviation. Currently serving as Head of Airworthiness (Military) and Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer at QinetiQ since October 2022, James previously held the position of Airworthiness Manager at Cobham Mission Systems and Mission Systems Wimborne Ltd. Additionally, James worked as an Airworthiness Engineering Manager and Airworthiness Engineer at Cobham Mission Systems. As a Military Aviation Consultant with Viking Group Pty Ltd and an Airworthiness Consultant at Nova Systems, James contributed to the operational airworthiness of various military helicopters. Before a career in the aerospace industry, James served as a pilot in the Royal Air Force from 1974 to 2005, specializing in Hawk and Harrier aircraft. James holds a BSc (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bath.
