John Wharton

John Wharton has extensive experience in testing and infrastructure roles, currently serving as a Senior Infrastructure and Applications Test Engineer at QinetiQ since July 2024, after previously working as a Test Engineer at the same company from February 2019 to April 2024. Prior to QinetiQ, John held various positions including Windows 10 Migration Test Manager at BAE Systems and Infrastructure Test Analyst at DXC Technology. John also has a strong background in network testing and verification from time spent at Airbus Defence and Space, where responsibilities included configuring and testing a range of network equipment. Early career experiences include roles such as IT Service Analyst at Care Quality Commission and Business Analyst at the Department for Work and Pensions, where John managed teams and utilized PRINCE2 methodologies. Educational credentials include a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computing and a Foundation Degree in Network and Security from Leeds Metropolitan University.
