Rod L.

Rod (Rupert) L. has a diverse work experience in both the private and military sectors. Starting in 2008 as a Senior Officer in the Royal Air Force, they led various strategies and policies to implement cross-platform Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations (CAMO) and developed a comprehensive Technical Authority solution.

In 2013, Rod joined QinetiQ as Chief Engineer and Group Leader of the Aircraft Maintenance Group. Rod (Rupert) was accountable for the leadership of a large team and successfully implemented initiatives to streamline operations, improve quality, and increase staff registration. Rod (Rupert) later took on the role of Programme Manager for a global Safety Improvement Programme, where they upgraded the company's Safety Management System and oversaw the selection of a safety consultancy organization.

In 2016, Rod became Head of Operations - Air, Space, and Manufacturing Facilities at QinetiQ, responsible for the operational capabilities and capacity of the UK-wide Test & Evaluation capabilities. Finally, in 2022, they assumed the position of Head of Estates Delivery, overseeing the delivery of real estate projects. Throughout their career, Rod has demonstrated their ability to lead and deliver results in complex and high-profile environments.

Rod (Rupert) L.'s education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering Management from the University of Lincoln, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they completed Initial Officer Training and Engineer Officer Training at RAFC Cranwell from 1996 to 1997. Along with their education, Rod has obtained certifications such as Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (FIET) from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in 2022 and Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the same institution in 2006.
