Simon Cooper

Simon Cooper is an experienced business development professional with a strong background in the defence sector, currently serving as the Business Development Director for both the UK Defence Sector and Maritime and Land at QinetiQ since April 2021. Previously, Simon held multiple high-level positions at Northrop Grumman from July 2014 to April 2021, including Senior Director of International Business Development and Operations. Additional roles include Head of Strategic Electronic Warfare Sales at Selex ES Ltd and various business development management positions at SELEX Galileo and BAE Systems. Simon began a career in public service as a Research Assistant at the House of Commons. Educational credentials comprise an M.A. in Communications Studies from the University of Leeds and a B.A. (Hons) in British Politics and Legislative Studies from the University of Hull, complemented by completion of the Advanced Command and Staff Course at the Defence Academy of the UK.
