Simon Venables

Simon Venables is an accomplished aviation safety consultant with extensive experience in safety analysis and report generation across land, marine, and aerospace domains. Currently serving as Principal Aviation Safety Consultant and Facilities / OME Team Leader at QinetiQ since March 2020, Simon oversees the analysis of complex systems and ensures compliance with Defense Standards. Prior to this role, Simon held positions at Babcock International Group and Horstman Defence Systems Limited, where responsibilities included influencing submarine system designs and developing test schedules, respectively. Simon's early career in the Royal Air Force spanned various roles, from Mechanical Engineering Technician to Training and Development Manager, contributing to aircraft maintenance and training program design. Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering and a BSc (Hons) in Engineering/Industrial Management.
