Tim Bailey

Tim Bailey is a Senior Project Manager at QinetiQ, responsible for advancing autonomous systems projects for the Royal Navy since October 2023. With extensive experience in the Royal Navy from 1979 to 2012, Tim served in various roles including Officer in Charge of Damage Control and Firefighting Training, and Weapon Engineer Officer on HMS Manchester. Tim has also played a key role in the Royal Navy Reserve Engineering Branch as SO2 Recruitment, growing the branch to over 150 personnel and training over 80 young officers. Additionally, Tim has served in crucial mobilized roles during the UK’s crisis response to the invasion of Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic. Leadership extends to rugby as Chair of Hampshire Rugby Referees and involvement with the Rugby Football Union as a National Panel Assistant Referee, showcasing Tim's commitment to both military and community service.
