Alan Kwan

Alan Kwan has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Alan currently holds the position of Co-Chief Investment Officer and Head of Fundamental Research at QLS Advisors since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Analyst at Millennium from August 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they served as Vice President of Research at Tekla Capital Management from January 2018 to August 2020 and as a Senior Analyst of Research from June 2014 to December 2017. Alan also worked as a Principal Investigator at GlaxoSmithKline from July 2011 to August 2013 and as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in May 2011.

Alan Kwan has a diverse education history. Alan obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia from 2000 to 2004. Alan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computational genetics from Washington University in St. Louis, completing it from 2004 to 2006. Later, Alan attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where they earned their Ph.D. in Computational biology and molecular genetics from 2007 to 2011. Seeking further education in finance, Alan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance at the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management from 2013 to 2015.
