Subir Sachdev

Advisory Board Member at QNu Labs

Subir Sachdev is a theoretical physicist who is currently on the advisory board for QNu Labs. Subir was previously a visiting Cenovus Energy James Clerk Maxwell Chair in Theoretical Physics at Perimeter Institute from February 2014 to January 2019. Sachdev has also been a professor of physics and applied physics at Yale University from July 1987 to June 2005. Subir's research interests include quantum phase transitions and quantum criticality, strongly correlated electronic systems, disordered systems and statistical mechanics. Sachdev has also worked on string theory and gravity.

Subir Sachdev studied physics at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they received their Ph.D. and S.B., respectively. Subir also spent a year studying electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Subir's early schooling was at Kendriya Vidyalaya and St. Joseph's Boys High School in Bangalore.
