Richard Kelley

As Vice President, Applied Research, RIch leads all advanced research, prototyping, and new product development lines. Rich joined QOMPLX after co-founding Gray Tier Technologies, where he provided classified security assessments to the government. Prior to founding Grey Tier, Rich served as the leader of the Joint Service Provider Vulnerability Research and Exploit Development Team (VRED) at the Pentagon. Prior to that, he contracted for military and government clients like the US Army 1st Information Operations Command and NSA-certified Red Teams as a network engineer, software engineer, and penetration tester. Rich served in the United States Air Force as a communication officer responsible for managing network operations and security for mission critical systems. Rich has been a featured speaker at DEFCON and the Pentagon Cybersecurity Forum. holds an M.S. from Perdue University and a B.S. from the University of Central Florida.
