Steve Brainerd

Steve Brainerd is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in process engineering and manufacturing in the semiconductor and photolithography industries. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at Qorvo, Inc. since March 2016, Brainerd focuses on continuous process improvement for BAW device fabrication. Previous roles include Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Viavi Solutions, where advanced photolithography processes were developed, and multiple positions at Qorvo, Simax Lithography, and other companies, where responsibilities encompassed equipment startup, process control, training, and yield improvement. Brainerd also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor in Electrical Engineering at Oregon Health Sciences University, teaching courses on modern photolithographic engineering and experimental design. Brainerd holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on optics and semiconductor processing from Oregon Health & Science University and a Bachelor’s degree in Photographic Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
