John Abbott

John Abbott is the Executive Chairman of Queensland Wool Processors Pty Ltd and has held numerous leadership roles across various industries. They served as Chancellor at CQUniversity Australia from 2016 to 2022 and have been actively involved with the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service as a Board Member since 2021. Their extensive experience includes positions as Deputy Chairman of Regional Development Australia Central and Western Queensland and General Manager at several companies, including Rio Tinto Alcan and Queensland Energy Resources. Abbott holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering and Law from the Queensland University of Technology.
