John O'Leary

John O'Leary is a freelance education writer and consultant with extensive experience in the field. Since 1993, they have served as the editor of The Times Good University Guide, which introduced university rankings to the UK and is recognized as the most authoritative publication of its kind. They have been an executive board member for QS World University Rankings since 2010. Previously, O'Leary held editorial positions at the Times Higher Education Supplement from 2002 to 2007 and at The Times from 1992 to 2002. O'Leary earned a BA in Politics from The University of Sheffield in 1974.
