Richard Avery has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Richard'smost recent role is as Head of Product at Education Software Solutions, which they started in 2021.

Prior to that, Richard worked at QS Quacquarelli Symonds from 2016 onwards as Head of Digital Product. Here, they were responsible for providing users with trusted information and advice on higher education and helping universities and business schools connect with students globally.

Richard also served as Director at Mirimach Ltd from 2010 onwards, where they had various responsibilities. In 2012, they joined Archant as Group Digital Business Director, overseeing the product management and strategy for their digital businesses. Richard was later promoted to Digital Director, East, responsible for the company's regional publishers in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Herts & Cambs.

From 2010 to 2012, Richard worked as a Director at Localstars, a fast-growing advertising technology provider. Prior to that, they were Head of Digital and Development at Thomson Directories, where they led the transition from print to digital and consulted on internet and online product development across the Seat group.

Richard's earlier experience includes serving as Group Internet Controller at Express Newspapers and Northern & Shell, where they developed and managed key websites. Richard also held the position of Managing Director, FLT division, at Linguaphone.

Richard Avery attended St Pauls School, Barnes from 1982 to 1986. No degree or field of study is provided for this period. Richard then enrolled at the University of Liverpool from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in French.
