Spenser Smith

Spenser Smith, MBA, serves as the Director of Admissions & Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs at Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, from March 2023 to May 2025. Previously, Smith held several roles at Carson-Newman University, including Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Coordinator of First Year and Conference Services, as well as Senior Admissions Counselor & Admissions Event Coordinator. Smith's experience also includes serving as the Coordinator of Communications & Employer Relations at Herbert College of Agriculture, University of Tennessee, from April 2021 to March 2023. In May 2025, Smith will transition to the position of Regional Director of Client Partnerships for Southeast US at QS Quacquarelli Symonds. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and a Minor in Applied Psychology, along with a Master of Business Administration in General Business, all from Carson-Newman University. Currently, Smith is pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, expected to be completed in 2026.
