Jia Chen

Jia Chen is currently the Director of Science at QSimulate. Prior to this, they were a Postdoc Research Scientist at the University of Florida from January 2019 to January 2021. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York from July 2013 to January 2019, where they studied electronic structure of strongly correlated materials. Jia Chen has a Ph.D. in Physics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Jia Chen earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Fudan University in China. Jia then moved to the United States to attend Princeton University, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry.

Some direct reports include David Reilley - Scientist, Csaba Daday - Senior Scientist, and Sruthi Murlidaran - Scientist. They are on a team with Charlotte Ward - Operations Manager, David Pearlman - VP, Product, and Garnet Chan - Chief Scientific Advisor & Co-Founder. Jia Chen reports to Toru Shiozaki, CEO & Co-Founder.
