Leon Freitag

Leon Freitag is a Staff Software Engineer at QSimulate. Leon was previously a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at ETH Zürich, where they developed quantum chemical methods to simulate photochemical and photophysical processes in molecules. Leon co-authored quantum chemistry software packages in Fortran and C++.

Leon Freitag studied at the University of Vienna, where they obtained their PhD in Theoretische Chemie. Leon also studied at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they obtained their Diplom in Chemie. Leon also participated in an undergraduate exchange program at the University of Oxford. In addition, they have a certification from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization.

Their manager is Alexander Doran, Head of Software. They work with Fredy Aquino - Software Engineer, Klaas Gunst - Lead Software Engineer, Europe, and Jaden Tayag - Junior Software Engineer.
