Daniel Burnham-King has worked in software engineering since 2013. Daniel began their career as an intern at RightShift, followed by an internship at 24.com, where they researched cross platform mobile development frameworks and developed a re-implementation of an existing product in the Titanium framework for Android. Daniel then worked as a Junior Developer at Ecentric Payment Systems, where they investigated the viability of using the ELK stack for near-real time fraud detection, while contributing to Ecentric's existing C# applications and providing 2nd tier customer support with T-SQL based applications. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Prodigy Finance, where they were part of a high impact team that significantly reduced the customer onboarding time and work load of operations agents, as well as increased throughput with automated credit risk decisions. Daniel then worked as a Ruby On Rails Developer at Longboat, before their current role as a Software Engineer at Qstream.

Daniel Burnham-King completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Game Development from the University of Cape Town between 2011 and 2013. Daniel then went on to pursue an Honors degree in Computer Science at the same university, graduating in 2014. In 2015, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCPS) certification from Microsoft. In 2017, they earned an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Daniel also holds an edX Honor Code Certificate for Programming with C#.
