Michael Anthonisz

Michael Anthonisz has extensive work experience in the field of economics and finance. Michael started their career at Commonwealth Treasury, where they worked as an Analyst in various units, including Revenue Analysis and Budget Estimates. During this time, they prepared forecasts for government revenue bases, modeled costs of tax policy options, analyzed fiscal outlook, and coordinated budget preparations. Michael then joined BDO in Australia as an Analyst, where they conducted valuation reports, researched financial market conditions, and delivered presentations to clients. Currently, Michael holds the position of Director, Chief Economist at Queensland Treasury Corporation. In this role, they utilize their expertise in drawing policy and market implications, developing analytical frameworks, and conducting economic and financial market research.

Michael Anthonisz has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degree from The University of Queensland, which they completed between 1999 and 2004. Prior to that, they attended St. Joseph's College from 1994 to 1998. Michael later pursued a Master of Finance degree at The Australian National University from 2005 to 2007.
