Brandon Oliver

Brandon Oliver has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Brandon started their career as a Database Analyst/Administrator at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates, where they implemented and supported a web-based environmental database management system. Brandon later worked as a Customer Support Specialist at Campana Systems Inc.

At D2L, Brandon held multiple positions, including Technical Release Manager and Technical Product Manager. In these roles, they managed the successful release of projects and facilitated communication between different teams. Brandon also developed automation solutions and encouraged best practices in testing and review.

At Igloo Software, Brandon served as a Release Master, Team Lead in Release Operations, Manager for Delivery & DevOps, and Manager for Cloud, Delivery & DevOps. In these positions, they focused on improving the release processes and overseeing various aspects of software development, including cloud operations and DevOps.

Brandon also worked as a Manager II, Software Engineering at Datto, Inc., where they led software development, security, and architecture teams. Brandon promoted a DevOps mindset and utilized technologies such as Kubernetes, Benthos, RabbitMQ, and Redis.

Furthermore, Brandon has experience as a Neurodiversity Speaker and Consultant at Neurodiversity Amplified, where they advocated for neurodiversity and provided consultation on improvements in organizations.

Currently, Brandon is working at Quadient, where they hold the position of Director of Engineering. In this role, they provide leadership and direction to various engineering teams and focuses on a servant leader-based approach, utilizing their extensive software and technology career and incorporating empathy and communication practices.
