Rob Wilde

Robert Wilde is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and engineering. Currently, Robert serves as a Managing Partner at QUAKE Ventures, focusing on investments in early-stage HR Tech businesses. In addition, Robert holds the position of Director at Shape Embedded and is a North West Export Champion for UK Trade & Investment, where efforts are directed toward expanding Volcanic's presence in Asia, Australia, and Japan. Previously, Robert founded and led Volcanic, a leader in recruitment websites and job board technology, from its inception in 2010 until 2020. Robert has also contributed as a Business Mentor at the Royal Academy of Engineering and began a career as a Mechanical Engineer with the UK Ministry of Defence, where involvement included developing applications for bomb disposal robots. Robert holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester and completed A-Levels at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys.
