Barry Willms

Barry Willms is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in ASIC and FPGA design and implementation. Currently serving as the Front End Implementation Lead at Qualcomm since September 2014, Willms has held various technical roles at Qualcomm, including contractor positions focused on GPU implementation and has managed significant projects during a prior tenure as Sr. Staff Engineer. Willms' extensive career includes key positions at companies such as Spreadtrum, San Diego EDA, and Mobilepeak Systems, where responsibilities ranged from ASIC verification to consulting services. Willms holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
