Chenjie Tang is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in semiconductor device research and development. Tang began a career in device research as an intern at MERL, where two US patents were filed for innovations in GaN power/RF devices. Subsequent roles at Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Illinois at Chicago involved advanced characterization and processing of GaN-based devices and synthesizing novel photonics devices. As a researcher at Imec, USA, work included TCAD simulations for imaging sensors. At Qualcomm, Tang progressed to Senior Staff Engineer, leading GaAs HBT epitaxy and process development for handset power amplifiers, and contributed to technology advancements for high-volume production. Tang holds a Bachelor's degree in Electromagnetic Field and RF Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
