Durga Malladi

SVP, Engineering at Qualcomm

Dr. Durga Malladi is currently the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Qualcomm. Durga has held this position since May 2016. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Engineering at Qualcomm Research from March 2012 to May 2016. From March 2009 to March 2012, they were the Senior Director of Engineering at Qualcomm. From March 1998 to March 2009, they were a Senior/Staff/Sr Staff/Principal Engineer/Director at Qualcomm. Dr. Malladi began their career as an engineering intern at GE Corporate Research and Development in June 1997 where they worked in the Communications Lab on satellite antenna calibration.

Dr. Malladi received their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1998. Durga also received their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1995 and their B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1994.

Durga Malladi has a B.S from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Durga also has an M.S and Ph.D in Adaptive Signal Processing from University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, they have a certification from Coursera in Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Neural Networks for Machine Learning, and Machine Learning. Durga also has a certification from edX in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Computation.

Durga Malladi reports to James H. Thompson, EVP, Engineering Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Chief Technology Officer. Durga Malladi works with Gerard Williams III - SVP, Engineering, Anthony Schwarz - SVP, Engineering, and Steven Gray - SVP, Connectivity and IoT Engineering.
