Liangping

Liangping Ma is a Sr. Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, where they focus on 5G system design and standardization. With experience as a Sr. Staff Engineer at InterDigital, they worked on spectrum sharing and contributed to optimizing Wi-Fi and LTE for video streaming. Liangping also held roles as a Research Engineer at Argon ST, where they developed low-power modems, and as a Member of Technical Staff at the San Diego Research Center, where they led research for energy-efficient wireless networks. They teach advanced courses on 5G cellular communication at UC San Diego Extended Studies and hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
