Omar Faruk

Omar Faruk is a seasoned technical manager and lead specializing in physical design and implementation of SOC/ASICs, with extensive experience across both startup and established global company environments. From 2012 to 2021, Omar served as a Staff Physical Design Engineer and later as a Senior Manager of Physical Design at Microchip Technology Inc., where they led a geographically distributed team and managed project planning and implementation schedules. Prior to that, Omar held roles at Cadence Design Systems and Qualcomm, contributing to the development and validation of ASIC design tools and flows. Omar earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1999. Currently, Omar is a Senior Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, where they continue to drive advancements in SOC design and methodology.
