Rhys Weaver is a seasoned professional in quality engineering with extensive experience in the automotive and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as Senior Director of Automotive Quality Engineering at Qualcomm since December 2023, Rhys previously held the position of Director of Quality Engineering for Europe at QUALCOMM TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL, LTD., focusing on the Automotive and Voice & Music businesses. Rhys's background includes roles such as Principal Engineer Customer Quality at Qualcomm, where responsibilities included addressing customer quality issues, and Senior Manager Customer Quality at CSR, leading investigations on customer complaints. Rhys also has a robust engineering foundation with positions at Atmel North Tyneside, Infineon Technologies, Siemens Microelectronics, Newport Wafer Fab Ltd, and Inmos, complemented by an MSc in Manufacturing Systems & Operations Management from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Physical Electronics from the University of Bradford.
