Russ Deans

Russ Deans is a highly experienced Senior Staff Design Engineer at Qualcomm, specializing in digital design for high-speed SerDes since March 2012. Previously, Russ worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Semtech, focusing on the design and verification of digital control logic for power management products, and also held a contract position in the same area. Prior roles included Staff Design Engineer at Qimonda, where Russ was involved in DRAM full-chip verification and HDL development, and at Infineon Technologies, where Verilog HDL development for DRAM interfaces was the focus. Earlier in the career, Russ served as Principal Design Engineer at Renesas, concentrating on 8-bit and 16-bit microcontroller design, and as Senior Staff Design Engineer at Mitsubishi Electric, also specializing in microcontroller design. Russ holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University, obtained in 1986.
