Simon Yoon

Simon Yoon is an accomplished engineer with significant experience in SoC architecture and AI research. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer in Qualcomm's Corporate R&D since September 2011, Simon focuses on AI Architecture Research and previously contributed to SoC Architecture Research and computer vision performance. Before Qualcomm, Simon was the Director of Engineering at Carbon Design Systems, overseeing the engineering group for an SoC virtual prototyping solution. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager at ARM and AXYS Design Automation, where Simon led teams in developing advanced simulation tools and ESL modeling for System-on-Chip designs. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in VLSI from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego.
