Steve Dillen

Steve Dillen is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in chipset development and hardware engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Director of Engineering at Qualcomm since March 2013, Steve leads the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset project, overseeing its planning and execution across all phases while ensuring engineering KPIs are met. Prior to this role, Steve worked at AMD as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff Hardware Engineer, focusing on low-power designs and SOC integration. Additional experience includes positions at IBM, Sun Microsystems, WaveRider Communications, General Dynamics, and CRS Robotics, where responsibilities ranged from hardware design to firmware development. Steve holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta and completed a Mini-MBA at Rutgers Business School.
