Wolfram Thomas

Wolfram Thomas is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property, currently serving as Senior Patent Counsel at Qualcomm since June 2020. As a German and European Patent Attorney, Wolfram also represents the Unified Patent Court (UPC). In addition, Wolfram holds the position of Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Rights Working Group at DIGITALEUROPE from July 2023 to June 2024. Previous roles include positions at GRÜNECKER and Bird & Bird as a Patent Attorney, and a European Patent Attorney at Grünecker, Kinkeldey, Stockmair & Schwanhäusser. Wolfram's early career included experiences at Christie, Parker & Hale, LLP as a Visiting Attorney, and internships at Audi AG and BMW. Wolfram holds a Diplom Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Technology from Hamburg University of Technology, with additional coursework completed at Chalmers University of Technology.
