Richard Ferguson

Richard Ferguson has a long and varied history in the field of educational technology. Richard began their career as a consultant with Academic Partnerships, where they worked from September 2010 to August 2013. Richard then became involved with OpenEd.io, serving as Chairman of the Board from April 2014 to May 2016. OpenEd.io was acquired by ACT in 2016.

After leaving OpenEd.io, Ferguson became Director of College Raptor, which was acquired by Citizens Financial Group in 2022. Richard served in this role from August 2014 to September 2022.

In November 2018, Ferguson became Chairman of the Board of MZ Development, Inc. MZ Development was acquired by Pearson in 2021.

Ferguson's most recent position is CEO and Chairman of Malum, Inc, which they have held since January 2019.

Richard Ferguson received their Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Assessment, Evaluation, and Research from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Arts in Mathematics from Western Michigan University, and their Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
