Shayla Heavner, M. Ed, is an educator, content designer, and mathematician dedicated to transforming the educational experience through storytelling. With extensive experience in curriculum development and instructional design, Shayla served as a Mathematics Supervisor at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, where they developed high-quality courses and supervised instructors. Currently, Shayla is the Founder of MathBait, an innovative initiative that uses storytelling and technology to engage students in mathematics. Additionally, Shayla works as a Master Reviewer for QM Quality Matters and as a Facilitator of Fun at Art of Problem Solving, continuing their commitment to enhancing online education. Shayla holds a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Indiana University East.
