Derek Wight is an experienced Electronics Engineering Manager at Quanser since January 2008, focusing on research and development of products, including both development work and project management. Prior to Quanser, Derek worked as a Coop/Contractor at Northern Digital from 2001 to 2007, specializing in R&D hardware design using CCD and CMOS image sensors for spatial measurement systems. Derek holds a PhD in Systems Design Engineering (2004-2008), a MASc in Systems Design Engineering (2001-2003), and a BASc in Electrical Engineering (1996-2001), all from the University of Waterloo.
