Alejandro Prendes Cabo

Alejandro Prendes Cabo has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Alejandro started their career as a Collaborator Data Scientist at AEMet - Agencia Estatal de Meteorología in October 2017, where they analyzed and mined databases and developed computational models using machine learning techniques. Alejandro then joined Management Solutions in September 2019 as a Data Scientist, where they automated and optimized processes, extracted information from documents using NLP techniques, and developed prediction models in the fintech context.

In March 2021, Alejandro became a Data Scientist, I+D at Management Solutions, leading the backend team in the R&D area. Alejandro designed machine learning models and implemented predictive analytics and clustering pipelines with distributed computing using Spark. Alejandro also worked on backend development of machine learning tools in the R&D area, focusing on cloud development (AWS), algorithm selection, API development, and containerization.

In January 2022, Alejandro joined COSENTINO as a Senior Data Scientist, but their role there ended in April 2022. After that, they moved to QUANT AI Lab, where they currently work as a Senior Data Scientist. In this role, they serve as the principal data scientist of the proof of concept (PoC) team at Zara.com. Alejandro is responsible for defining, modeling, and productizing advanced machine learning models on microservices. Alejandro also conducts research and develops proof of concept applications for emerging AI technologies.

In 2021, they obtained a certificate in MLOps: Machine learning in production from Coursera Course Certificates.
