AJ Bowen has a variety of work experience in the tech industry. From 2012 to 2013, AJ worked at Gandi.net, starting as a Technical Support and later advancing to Developer Advocate. In this role, AJ interacted with tech communities, promoted APIs, and improved web interface and open source presence. From 2016 to 2017, AJ worked as a Solutions Engineer at Convox. In 2017, AJ joined Travis CI as a Build Infrastructure Engineer until 2019. AJ then founded EphemeraSearch in 2019. From 2020 to 2021, AJ worked as a Cloud Operations Engineer at Beacon Biosignals. Currently, AJ holds the position of Senior DevOps Engineer at Quantgene since 2021. Additionally, AJ has experience as a Docker/Kubernetes workshop assistant at Tiny Shell Script.
AJ Bowen attended the University of Kansas from 2003 to 2009, where they earned a BA (Honors) degree in Anthropology and French. Additionally, from 2005 to 2007, AJ Bowen studied at Université Catholique de l'Ouest and obtained an Associate's degree (DEUG) in Translation.

Medical technology now allows for cancer to be detected in a patient’s blood through cell-free DNA (cfDNA). Quantgene has developed a method for Deep Human Genome sequencing which allows us to see mutational patterns of disease down to a single molecule. This means diseases like cancer can be detected far earlier than ever before.
