André Silva

Junior R&D Engineer at Quantib

André Silva has a strong background in research and development in the medical field. André started their career as a Research Intern at AMC - Academisch Medisch Centrum in 2014, where they focused on MRI data post-processing, fitting, and analysis. André then moved on to UMC Utrecht, where they worked as a Research Intern from February 2016 to August 2016. In this role, they conducted MRSI data reconstruction simulations, post-processing, and analysis, specializing in developing a post-processing method to reduce lipid artifacts in MRSI data of the brain. Following this, André worked as a Research Assistant at UMC Utrecht from December 2016 to April 2017. Here, they focused on MRSI data reconstruction simulations, data acquisition, post-processing, and functional analysis, further refining the post-processing method to reduce intervoxel lipid contamination. Most recently, André joined Quantib BV in March 2018 as a Junior R&D Engineer.

André Silva completed their secondary education in Science and Technology at Escola Secundária Alves Martins from 2008 to 2011. André then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Lisbon from 2011 to 2016.
