Eric McDermid

Eric McDermid has over 30 years of experience in software engineering and architecture. Eric currently works as a Principal Engineer (Platform) at Quantifind, where they have been since 2016. Prior to that, they were the owner of Stone Creek Software, LLC since 2004.

From 2015 to 2016, Eric worked as a Principal Software Engineer (Big Data) at Womply, where they were responsible for the design and development of the company's big data systems. Before that, from 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Principal Staff Software Engineer at Marin Software, where they played a senior role in overhauling the company's web tracking and revenue management systems.

Eric's earlier experience includes founding engineer and kernel lead at SQLstream, Inc. from 2006 to 2012, where they worked remotely from Colorado on the company's high-performance real-time relational streaming engine. Eric also worked as a Software Consultant at Marin Software from 2008 to 2011, contributing to the company's ETL infrastructure and data analysis engines.

Before that, Eric worked at PeopleSoft, Inc. from 2002 to 2004 as an Architect / Online Marketing Specialist. Prior to that, they were a Lead Architect at Annuncio Software from 1998 to 2002, where they were part of the core engineering team that developed their online marketing application.

Eric's early career includes roles as a Principal Software Engineer at Informix Software from 1991 to 1998 and as an Independent Software Consultant at Hewlett-Packard from 1989 to 1991, where they contributed to the development of an automated test development suite.

Eric McDermid attended Colorado State University from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
