Charles Gao is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical simulation and device industry. Currently serving as a Software R&D Manager at Quantinuum since October 2023, Gao previously held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at Creation Technologies, where management of a distributed engineering team led to improved processes and efficiencies in custom medical device solutions. As Director of Software/Mobile Development at Mentice from December 2017 to September 2022, Gao oversaw the creation of innovative simulation solutions for Image-guided Interventional Therapies, leveraging new technologies such as Bluetooth BLE. Before that, at Medical Simulation Corporation, Gao advanced through roles from Software Architect to Director of Software Engineering, contributing significantly to the development of the company's proprietary simulation frameworks.
